The Lancet Series on violence against women and girls was launched in the John Snow theatre at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The event was chaired by Richard Horton, Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet.
Charlotte Watts and Cathy Zimmerman, LSHTM, and Claudia Garcia Moreno, WHO, coordinated the series. Charlotte and Claudia were among the panelists alongside Mary Ellsberg, Lori Heise (representing James Lang), and Lori Michau.
